A CHIRP OF KNOWLEDGE… “Reaching for Excellence in So Many Ways!”

PRINCIPAL’S JOURNAL..Our students are reaching for excellence in so many ways. Some first grade students have reached personal reading and celebrated with an All-Star Reader Certificate and time with the principal to talk about their favorite books. Many students, at all grade levels, have attained perfect attendance and have been recognized with perfect attendance certificates. Other students have reaped the benefits of academic mastery in Unit Studies by passing CRTs testing those areas. There is so much evidence and validation that our Morley Meadowlarks are reaching for excellence!

“There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein, German-American physicist and Nobel Prize winner

COMPUTER LAB OPEN HOUSES – This past week, Mrs. Lambert has provided many opportunities for parents to visit the Computer Lab. During this visit, students did an excellent job of demonstrating some of the many skills they have learned in the area of technology. Thank you to students, Mrs. Lambert, and parents for your partnership in focusing on academic excellence!

VOLUNTEER TEA on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25
We would be so very honored if you would join the Morley staff, parents, and other volunteers, for the Volunteer Tea on Wednesday, April 25, at 8:00 – 9:00 am, in the lunchroom. This is one small way we can express our appreciation for your support and involvement for all at Morley.

Students will be ready to entertain you, along with staff. Rolls, coffee, juice, certificates and small gifts of appreciation will be waiting for you. Our theme this year is “WE TREASURE OUR VOLUNTEERS!”. We are working on invitations, as I write this, so please be checking your mailbox. If an invitation does not reach you, and you have volunteered at Morley, please come anyway. We want you to know how much we appreciate you!
