Welcome to Morley School!
Mrs. Coni Schwartz, Principal
Morley School has 457 students who are excited
to do their best job of learning. As families and faculty, I believe
we share the same excitement and responsibility to make sure that
every year is the best year of learning for each and every
child. Morley's goals for 2006-2007 are to emphasize the importance
of learning, making certain that school time is used to maximize
learning, and that traditional academic disciplines are well at
the heart of what we do. High expectations for instruction, curriculum,
and discipline continue to receive our strong support and attention!
In 2006-2007, we want each parent and child to realize a great sense
of belonging at Morley. It is ever so important that a partnership
exists between home and school.
As well we know, volunteers can make an important
difference to our children. Reading a story to children, listening
to a child read, helping a child with math facts, sharing a career
with young people, helping in the Library Media Center, inviting
seniors and neighbors to be a part of learning at school, are all
ways in which positive support will help children in their educational
journey.
I know we have entered not only the new school
year, but also the new century, working together for our children's
futures. We have done this very well in past years, and will continue
our quest for excellence in education.
As Morley's principal, I am proud to share my philosophy
with you, which includes:
