Second grade literacy and math instruction is delivered in self-contained homerooms. Each classroom is grouped heterogeneously based on a number of factors, including achievement, student strengths, needs and styles of learning. Each classroom teacher delivers regular and differentiated (gifted education) instruction in the English/Language Arts and Math areas.
